One of the things we love most about Pullip is her incredible fashion sense.
And one reoccurring fashion trend we see Pullip wearing is the Lolita fashions of Japan.
So let’s take a quick look at what Lolita and its sub styles of fashion consist of.
Lolita fashions get their inspiration from the English Victorian period which lasted between 1837-1901 and the 18th century French Rococo movement.
The Lolita style has obviously evolved over the years but there are a few things that remain constant among the various sub-styles, knee length bell-shaped dresses, knee-high stockings, a top and a head piece.
We’ve seen Pullip sporting these amazing, and exotic fashions and with collaboration from Japanese designers like h. NAOTO and Angelic Pretty, it’s no wonder why Pullip is one of the best dressed dolls around.
Here are a few styles our lovely Pullip has showcased on the Pullip Doll Dream’s Runway:
Traditional Lolita- showcases a knee length bell-shaped dress, knee-high stockings, a top and a head piece. An outfit best fitted for an aristocrat or person of nobility. [Pullip Tiphona - Innocent World]
Sweet Lolita – exhibit the traditional styles of Lolita with a bit of sweet, cutesy, light color twist. [Romantic Alice]
Goth Lolita – combines the black and dark styles of Goth with the traditional techniques of Lolita fashion. [Nella Pullip - Gothic and Lolita Bible]
Punk Lolita – merges the tattered clothing and chains of Punk with traditional Lolita flair. [Pullip Prunella - h.Naoto]
As you can see, Pullip has worn some amazing pieces from some of the hottest Japanese designer specializing in Lolita fashion.
We are really looking forward to the months ahead to see what up and coming styles Pullip will have for us to adore.
June 2012 you can expect to see some new clothing available for Pullip and Isul dolls!
There will be the Penang Island outfit set
And lastly the Fuzzylogic Outfit set. This outfit was designed by Creator’s Label, the same guys who made the Bloody Red Hood Pullip doll.
Two amazing outfit sets! I just wish they would make clothing for humans soon. >_<
What do you think about the clothing, you like or could you do with out them?
